From the Greek hali- =sea, alētos = eagle, alopicia- = bald, cephalos = head...
have been busy working on this rather fine bald eagle design at work recently, from the outset I had the idea of using english walnut as the background/sky for this design to match the wood used on the guitar. I took the off-cuts from the back and used the grain pattern to work around the brook logo. Here are some work in progress shots...

Been a busy week.....Finished scraping back my second Johnny Cash inlay on Monday night, had a satisfied customer come into the Brook workshop to pick up his Lowden guitar with it's newly inlaid Spaniel headstock design on Tuesday.
Then it's back to the day job again, have been working on this Ian Anderson, Manson traveller mother of pearl & ebony rosette today
